Linear time-invariant discrete-time scalar systems under periodically varying output feedback, and the associated problems of stabilization and arbitrary eigenvalue assignment. are investigated.
The general form of the characteristic polynomial of the closed-loop periodically varying system is obtained and some detailed results are provided for the second order case. Interesting research questions are pointed out.
