## Abstract The dispersion properties of a circular dielectric waveguides loaded at the center with periodic center‐protruded metal disks were investigated using a mode‐matching technique in conjunction with the Floquet theorem. The metal disks with rectangular and crisscrossed cross‐sectional shap
