Abstract
It is shown that the optimized Yagi elements in planar arrays provide flat‐topped radiation patterns of good quality in the limited‐scan E plane. Better wide‐angle scan performance is found for a triangular lattice than for a rectangular one in the H plane, where the sharp dips in the element patterns can occur. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
