โœฆ Synopsis

This paper presents the results of seven full-scale 5re resistance tests conducted on load-bearing gypsum board protected, wood stud shear wall assemblies. The experimental studies were conducted to determine the e4ects of placement of shear membrane and type of insulation on the 5re resistance of such assemblies. Details of the results, including the temperatures and de6ections measured during the 5re tests, are presented. Results from the studies indicate that the placement of shear membrane and insulation type signi5cantly in6uence the 5re resistance of such wood stud shear wall assemblies.

Full-scale 5re experiments were carried out in an ISO room to study the behaviour of commonly used cellulosic lining materials in real 5re conditions. In addition to the temperature measurements recommended by the ISO 9705, temperature recordings were made at each node of grid lines on the wall lini
