✦ Synopsis
The cycling performance of a lithium-manganese oxide spinet (prepared from Mn0 2 and Li2CO 3) has been investigated as a function of preparation temperature m a lithium polymer electrolyte cell Excellent reversibility and high rate performance have been observed from a spmel phase prepared at 450 °C and of general formula Li,Mn2 2O, (0<x< 1 33, 0 c z c 0 33) This phase has a characteristic cubic lattice parameter of -8 19 A less than that found in the stoichiometnc spmel material LiMn2O4
