β¦ Synopsis
An electrochemical cell of the configuration Zn/ZnSO4-7I-I20/I 2 has given an open-circait voltage of 1.1 V, a short-circuit current of > 10 mA and an energy density of 13.8 Wh kg-I at a constant-current drain of 100 v~A. The details of the discharge process and the variation in the internal impedance of the cell are derived on the basis of a complex impedance analysis.
