The performance of a new neutron velocity selector, which was designed for small angle scattering applications, was verified in detail. Excellent agreement was found between calculated and TOF-measured transmission and resolution in a narrow parallel beam (peak transmission 0.94 + 0.025, resolution 0.10 ? 0.005).
