β¦ Synopsis
A capability to model the performance of volumetric hydrophone arrays in different acoustic environments has been developed. A normal mode model that uses a WKB approximation is used to calculate acoustic propagation. Ambient noise is not included in the model. The model uses an algorithm that can efficiently calculate signal gain for a large-scale array for a large number of source positions. Performance measures derived from the signal gain calculations have been used to compare the multipath losses for different array geometries in a convergence zone environment.

Solar cells are produced in batches and undergo a screening process, usually based on the maximum power point. The manufacturer or consumer aggregates the solar cells randomly to form an array. By screening the solar cells and aggregating in a ranking order we may obtain improved array performance.
Today's massively parallel machines are typically message-passing systems consisting of hundreds or thousands of processors. Implementing parallel applications efficiently in this environment is a challenging task, and poor parallel design decisions can be expensive to correct. Tools and techniques
