for one NNR and those for two is significant. On the other hand, the difference between the resonant conductances calculated using one NNR and those for two is small if the offset of the central slot is less than 5.0 mm.

Conclusions

An analysis o f a slotted-waveguide antenna is presented using the moment method. It is shown that the effect of mutual coupling on the resonant property of a slot in an array environment is significant even for surrounding slots with small offsets. Generally, the inclusion of one NNR is, without significant loss of accuracy, sufficient if the offsets of the surrounding slots are equal or less than 2.0 mm in the calculation of resonant length and conductance. The influence of the mutual coupling on the prediction of the resonant length of an immersed slot is much stronger than it is on the evaluation of resonant conductance.
