TAC is used to cross-link polymers in order to boost the cross-linkage yield and enhance the mechanical properties, thermal load and resistance to weathering of plastics. Applications include the production of insulating compounds for cables and seals and it is also used as an adhesion promoter for tyre cord in rubber mixtures.
