✦ Synopsis

This paper analyzes the experimental results of a water-to-water heat pump system assembled in a laboratory. The heat pump was used to heat water in a domestic water tank. The results show that in order to maximize the C.O.P. of the system, thermal stratification of water in the tank must be maintained.
