✦ Synopsis

This paper presents the performance analysis of a local area network communication protocol, comparing the results of the analytic model with those obtained by simulation. Additionally, a new approach is presented that provides simplified mathematical expressions for throughput and delay in special situations. The last part of the paper shows the structure of the simulator developed.
