โฆ Synopsis
In cellular communication systems, channel assignment schemes are very important to improve teletrafยฎc performance characteristics. Because of the overlapping design of the cells in cellular communication systems, a mobile user is capable of communicating with two different bases. In this paper, a new channel assignment scheme is proposed to improve the blocking probability of a cellular communication system. The blocking probability of the cellular communication systems is analyzed based on Markov chain. According to the analytical results, the proposed channel assignment scheme shows different characteristics in comparison with ยฎxed channel assignment scheme.

In this paper, we present two schemes to improve the call completion probability of initial and handoff calls in mobile cellular systems. All the previous schemes give priority to handoff calls over initial calls to avoid the forced termination of calls in progress. We observe that giving priority t
## Abstract In this paper, a new channel assignment strategy named compact dynamic channel assignment (CDCA) is proposed. The CDCA differs from other strategies by consistently keeping the system in the utmost optimal state, and thus the scheme allows to determine a call succeeding or failing by lo
