## Abstract ## Background: The edge‐to‐edge (Alfieri) technique for mitral valve repair is a versatile method of treating mitral insufficiency. Because of its simplicity, it has been applied in minimally invasive surgery, and recently, in the design of endovascular closed‐heart devices. ## Aim:
