โœฆ Synopsis

As can be seen in treasures in Horyuji Temple (607AD) and Shosouin (756AD), the use of color in Japan has a long history, and the nomenclature of ancient colors is well documented. However, the history of scientific approach to color goes back less than one hundred years. Nevertheless, the progress and spread were quick, especially after World War II.
