โœฆ Synopsis

The homogeneous free radical polymerization of sodium p-styrenesulphonate has been investigated at 70 ~ for solutions in water dioxane mixtures and in aqueous solutions of lithium chloride. The polarographic method of analysis was applied. The experimental data reveal a strong influence of the reaction medium on the reactivity of sodium p-styrenesulphonate as well as on the properties of the resulting polymers.
