## Abstract Intramolecular cyclization of tertiary phenylethanol derivatives, e.g. (I), (III) or (V), proceeds smoothly in the presence of Pd(II) catalyst and Ph‐I(O‐Ac)~2~ to give dihydrobenzofuran derivatives in good yields.
