The chromatographic conditions mentioned in Fig. 1 were selected for the purpose of direct comparison between various spiroketals. In cases where no baseline separation is achieved, e.g., for 2e, 2g, and 3, careful optimization of gas chromatographic parameters (temperature, column length, flow rate
