✦ Synopsis
After discussing the commutation relations of the kinetic angular momentum of the electron in the vector Aharonov Bohm effect, the author shows that the Pauli criterion for admissibility of the wave function is inapplicable. The point is that the kinetic angular momentum does not satisfy the fundamental commutation relations of the angular momentum. The inapplicability of the Pauli criterion reflects the breakdown of the symmetry of the electron's motion around the solenoid.
