## Abstract The analysis of Faraday rotation measurements (RM) gives insight into the properties of cluster magnetic fields. Recently, Kolmogorovโlike magnetic turbulence was reported for the cool core of the Hydra A galaxy cluster which was derived using a maximum likelihood analysis of an RM map

Abstract
Synchrotron emission extended on Mpc scales is detected in a number of massive galaxy clusters. The hot ICM becomes a collisionlessโturbulent plasma on scales below 10โ50 kpc and thus turbulence may accelerate the relativistic particles radiating in these sources. In this paper the injection, cascading and dissipation of hydro and MHD turbulence in galaxy clusters are briefly discussed. We also discuss the two most relevant mechanisms for stochastic particle acceleration produced by MHD turbulence in galaxy clusters, namely Alfvรฉnic acceleration and Transit Time Damping acceleration from fast modes. ## Abstract We propose a model of magneticโfield growth in galaxy clusters whereby the field is ampli.fied by a factor of about 10^8^ over a cosmologically short time of โผ 10^8^ yr. Our model is based on the idea that the viscosity of the intracluster medium during the fieldโamplification epoch is
