โœฆ Synopsis

inaugurated a new Technology Centre at the Bietigheim-Bissingen plant to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Prรคdifa Company.

Parker has invested around 1.5m in the expansion of the new Technology Centre that employs about 60 people and has 2500m 2 floor space. The Centre comprises the areas of application engineering, design and simulation, material development and testing for plastics and elastomers as well as the physical lab and tooling. The centre includes company expertise in finite element modelling, rapid prototyping, elastomer, polyurethane and plastic materials together with physical testing.

Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Papatheodorou, head of the physical laboratory commented: "The Technology Centre is not only the cradle of new products. The close collaboration between all disciplines makes it possible for us to come up with innovative sealing solutions quickly and efficiently in the interest of our customers. But in addition to developing new ideas, we also investigate cases of damage, irrespective of the manufacturer involved, in the event that there should be occasional problems with sealing applications in the field. We want to and have to meet the most exacting demands.
