Recently, E811 has measured[I] the total cross section for ffp scattering at v~ = 1800 GeV. In this paper, we refit the experimental data for atot, p and B for both pp and l~p to a QCD-inspired eikonal model, including the new O'tot measurement.

We discuss the two-photon exchange contribution to observables which involve lepton helicity flip in elastic lepton-nucleon scattering. This contribution is accessed through the single spin asymmetry for a lepton beam polarized normal to the scattering plane. We estimate this beam normal single spin
