✦ Synopsis


PARATHYROID adenoma is a somewhat uncommon troubled her for the previous 5 months. It had started in condition that can affect both sexes at any age from the shoulders and arms and had spread fO the neck and ~~~l ~~, B.P. 160/110, pulse 80 per minute with frequent extrasystoles, and a Grade I11 ejection systolic murmur at the apex. Examination of her C.N.S. revealed normal sensa-ficant abnormality. tion, but brisk tendon reflexes, particularly the ankle jerk, and wasting of the quadriceps muscle. knees, and shoulder was present.
