✦ Synopsis

This paper deals with a new generalization of the Garfunkel-Bankoff inequality by introducing a parameter, which relaxes the conditions of the Garfunkel-Bankoff inequality. As applications, an improved version of the Finsler-Hadwiger inequality is obtained.
