Abstract
The equationsβofβmotion (EOM) method has been parametrized for the evaluation of the βΟ β Ο*β transition energies and moments of conjugated hydrocarbons. In this new semiempirical scheme, the effect of the dynamical screening by Ο electrons is explicitly included.
