Abstract

The equations‐of‐motion (EOM) method has been parametrized for the evaluation of the β€œΟ€ β†’ Ο€*” transition energies and moments of conjugated hydrocarbons. In this new semiempirical scheme, the effect of the dynamical screening by Οƒ electrons is explicitly included.
