✦ Synopsis

The simple analysis method of printed quadrifilar helical antennas pre¨iously presented by the authors is extended to take into account the presence of a central dielectric rod of ¨arious thicknesses and relati¨e permitti¨ities. A parametrical study based on many theoretical and experimental results is presented. The good agreement obser¨ed between theory and experiment pro¨es the ¨alidity of the method for any configurations of the printed quadrifilar antenna. Moreo¨er, this study lets us foresee a possible size reduction of such an antenna.
