Abstract
Some model calculations with LAOCOON 3 have been used to show that the mean error in the calculated coupling constants is linearly related to the root mean square error in the transition frequencies. On the basis of this linearity it is shown that the βprobableβ error parameter of LAOCOON 3 should be increased by a factor of 2Β·5 to give more realistic errors.

## Abstract The reasons which sometimes cause failure of convergence in the iteration of NMR spectra by LAOCOON 3 are discussed. The problem can be avoided by retaining the sequence of the eigenfunctions throughout the iterative process. In addition, assignment of the lines to start the iterative a
This paper studies a semi-linear errors-in-variables model of the form Y i = x$ i ;+ g(T i )+e i , X i =x i +u i (1 i n). The estimators of parameters ;, \_ 2 and of the smooth function g are derived by using the nearest neighbor-generalized least square method. Under some weak conditions, it is sho
