The title complex has been synthesized and characterized by magnetic and spectroscopic techniques. These studies indicate that the complex possesses distorted octahedral CuN,02Br, units in the solid state. In dimethylformamide (DMF) and pyridine solutions, the coordination positions of copper(I1) we

## EPR of Mn2+-doped NIQNO3 is studied from -lOOΒ°C to llOΒ°C. A sextet superposed over a broad line is observed in the two ortfiorhombic phases. The parameters g and A are determined. The sextet disappears in the tetragonal phases. At about 105'C an axial spectrum appears.

The paramagnetic centres of Cu 2Ο© in ammonium bromide crystals were studied at 300 and 77 K with X-band and Q-band EPR. We determined the spin Hamiltonian parameters, contact interaction and covalent bonding parameters of the paramagnetic centres of the NH 4 Br:Cu 2Ο© . The superhyperfine interaction
