โฆ Synopsis
Measurements on paramagnetic relaxation in copper potassium sulphate are carried out in the liquid helium range. Attention is mainly given to the adiabatic value of the differential susceptibility and the specific heat of the spin system. The results are discussed in connection with Kronig's theory on relaxation and the theory on the Starksplittings of the Cu++-ion given by J o r d a h 1. It appears that, con-%raryto the predictions of these theories the relaxation times found are of the same order of magnitude as the relaxation times found for the alums and that the specific heat does not obey a 1/T2-1aw.
