β¦ Synopsis
Paramagnetic absorption at radio frequencies in gadolinium sulphate octohydrate has been studied at 77Β°K. and at 90Β°K. The results are given in the tables I and II and the figures 1 and 2. The theoretical values in the tables and the drawn curves in the figures have been calculated with the formulae (1) and (2). The value of b/C (3.9 x 106) has been derived from the previous research on paramagnetic dispersion and the values of p1 and pz of table III have been inserted in these formulae. In fig. 3 finally a few results are given about the absorption in a perpendicular constant field. As in previous researches the absorption may be described by formula (3) in which A(Hd) is independent of T.

Specific absorption rates were measured in three locations of humans exposed in the far field at 160, 350, and 915 MHz. Values obtained for six males are compared with data for a full-scale homogeneous model of man.
