Oleochemicals sales to stay strong, says Southern Acids

Southern Acids (M) Bhd expects the sales of its oleochemicals division to remain strong following the subsiding impact of 11 Sep 2001 attacks and slowly picking up world economy. However, the company is of the view that profits could suffer if the raw materials prices continue to increase and if the increases are not transferred to selling prices. In order to remain competitive, Southern Acids (M) is working to increase its productivity besides focusing on research and development.
