The performance of a superplasticizin s admixture in concrete made from palm kernel shell aggregate was investigated. Three concrete mixes of widely differing water/cement ratios were made and each of the mix contained three different dosage levels of the superplasticizer. The properties tested in
performed at high temperature on a bauxite-based refractory, which is used in steel ladle linings. It is shown that for this ceramic few material parameters are sufficient to account for major differences of behaviour observed in compression tests and three-point bend tests.
The interactions between sintered fly ash lightweight aggregates and the matrix in portland cement concretes was studied to resolve factors other than aggregate strength which influence the concrete strength. Aggregates of variable properties were produced and concretes of equal effective waterlceme
