Abstract
We report the use of palladium nanoparticles stabilized on amphiphilic glucose‐derived carbon spheres as heterogeneous catalysts for Suzuki–Miyaura reactions. Reactions of aryl halides with various boronic acids in the presence of different bases and solvents including organic polar, non‐polar and water as sole solvent without the aid of phase‐transfer catalysts, under phosphine**‐**free and aerobic conditions have been studied. Especially, deactivated aryl bromides and activated aryl chlorides afforded good isolated yields in pure water. The catalyst was reused for up to four cycles without any marked loss in the activity.
