Palladium-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling Reactions of 2-Indolyldimethylsilanols with Substituted Aryl Halides. -A mild and general protocol for the title reaction is developed affording the cross-coupling products in good yields. The reactivity of the 2-indolyl moiety toward cross-coupling is strongly influenced by the substituent on the indole nitrogen. The reaction of Boc-protected indole (I) leads to the formation of biaryls as by-product, while the reaction of N-methylindole (V) yields biarylated indoles as by-product. -(DENMARK*, S. E.; BAIRD,
