Spontan kommt es zum Bruch der C‐C‐Bindung, die den aliphatischen und aromatischen Teil des Norbornylphenyl‐Liganden in Palladacyclen wie 1 verbindet, nach dem die selektive meta‐Dialkylierung des Arenrings mit der Bildung des Intermediats 2 beendet ist. Diese Reaktion verläuft glatt und ohne β‐H‐Eliminierung mit Alkyl‐ und Benzylhalogeniden RX.magnified image
