River discharge measurements downstream of the Russell Glacier, near Kangerlussuaq (Ssndre Strsmfjord), West Greenland revealed the occurrence of short-term discharge fluctuations during the 1991 melt season. Frontal ice-cliff collapse results in temporary river damming, producing initial decreases
