โฆ Synopsis
has received the first exemption granted by the DOT to transport its storage system containing hydrogen absorbed in metal hydride via air cargo. MTI Micro's certification supports its initial product launch, planned for the end of 2004. With this UN and DOT recognition in place, authorized shippers can now conveniently transport MTI Micro's fuel refills by ground, sea and air, both domestically and internationally.
DOT has been working closely with Jadoo to classify the company's innovative hydrogen storage device for shipment. 'This transportation approval is a major achievement for Jadoo, as well as for the fuel cell industry and growing hydrogen economy', says Larry Bawden, its president/CEO. 'This exemption opens up domestic and international portable power markets, and authorizes our business partners to ship fully operational fuel cell power systems.'
