✦ Synopsis

We report a complication of axillary node surgery for breast carcinoma. The condition presents within 4-6 weeks of operation as extreme pain on abduction of the shoulder, and in one case on extension of the elbow, associated with taut wire like subcutaneous bands stretching across the axilla and occasionally to the elbow.
