✦ Synopsis

Paclobutrazol (PBZ) applied to almond fruits 25 days after full bloom delayed the growth of fruits and seeds. The period of the delay and the amount of retardation depended on the paclobutrazol concentration applied.

Seeds from the treated fruits germinated well, except those treated twice with 4000 mg L-' which showed only a low percentage of germination. Seeds treated just before sowing failed to germinate.
