✦ Synopsis

The quantitative alterations of polyphosphoinositides might be caused by inhibition of the activity of phosphoinosidespecific phosphodiesterase the enzyme which catalyses the reaction of polyphosphoinositide lysis. A special interest present the results of the latest studies concerning the efficacy of polychemotherapy of the given pathology. According to our data, in patients after the conducted therapy, a definite normalization of polyphosphoinositide metabolism is observed. In this case a significant (36.4%) decrease in the level of monophosphoinositide is observed, while in the contents of di-and triphosphoinositides in erythrocyte membranes, on the contrary, an increase (respectively -66.6 and 83.3%) is observed. Thus, the results obtained testify to the possibility of correction of polyphosphoinositides metabolism in blood erythrocyte membranes after chemotherapy in patients with chronic lympholeukosis, which will result in establishment of quantitative and qualitative equilibrium of the components of phosphoinositide signal system and its functional activity, as well as in stabilization of the status of biomembranes.
