The superconducting properties of YBa2Cu307-x have been shown to depend markedly on the overall oxygen stoichiometry and on the ordering of oxygen vacancies on the available sites. YBa2Cu307\_ x has been studied in situ by high-temperature neutron powder diffraction in controlled oxygen atmospheres
The electrical resistjyity and low field ac and dc magnetic suspectibility of an inhomogeneous or composite Ba:YCu; 0 ..... superconductor have been measured. The observation of a rather large resistive transition ( \(T \approx 3.6\) K) allows to get a clear separation among diamagnetism setting of
