Abstrati-Various cathode materials for use in solid oxide fuel cells, yttria-stabilixed xirconia based, were examined by PC impedance and their current-voltage characteristics recorded: platinum, gold, silver, and La,,,Sr,,,MnO, . The oxygen reduction reaction mechanisms for the different cases are presented, as well as conclusions for the optimal electrode structure design.
