โฆ Synopsis
EXAFS spectra above the oxygen K absorption edge of the high-TC superconductor Y-Ba-Cu-0 have been studied by measuring the total electron yield (TEY) as a function of xray energy. Temperature variation of the TEY spectra was examined between 77K and 300K. These data provide evidence for the existence of local soft modes in the material.
