## Abstract Stream‐aquifer interactions are influenced significantly by riverbed clogging processes. Detailed field observations have been made in the “Freudenau reservoir” of the Danube at Vienna. Different types of clogged layers have been observed. Multi‐level‐piezometers below the riverbed indi
