## Abstract Butyraldehyde is an important chemical for many industrial applications, especially in the production of polyvinylbutyral. A systematic study of its synthesis by catalytic dehydrogenation of butanol, using zinc oxide as catalyst has been carried out. The effect of the method of preparat
