✦ Synopsis
The effects of processing conditions, sterilization and continues to rise during subsequent aging at a rate influtreatment, aging time, and poststerilization aging environ-enced by the aging environment. A hydrogen peroxide ambiment on the oxidation behavior of ultrahigh molecular ent causes more severe oxidation than either air or hyaluronic weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) are examined. Oxidation acid. Control (unsterilized) samples and those sterilized in is monitored by observing changes in the carbonyl peak ethylene oxide are resistant to oxidation under all conditions appearing in Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry except hydrogen peroxide aging.
