High performance polyester for powder coatings

Cytec Industries Inc launched a new range of polyesters under the name Crylcoat Primavera. The products help to reduce formulation costs for powder coatings without compromising on reliability in material supply and quality. The first product of the range, Crylcoat E04048 is a 60:40 hybrid polyester for metal applications for indoor use. Powder coatings based on this product harden at 190°C for 10 min and provide the same performance as conventional hybrid formulations. Cytec reports favourable properties of the new products in view of appearance and resistance to solvents and boiling water.
