✦ Synopsis
An MMIC prerpostdistortion circuit for an analog fiber optic link based on a Mach᎐Zehnder modulator is designed, fabricated, and tested. The prerpostdistortion circuit operates in the bandwidth o¨er 20 GHz, and impro¨es the spurious free dynamic range of the broadband analog fiber link by 3 dB to 110 dBrHz 2 r 3 . In addition, the unpackaged prerpostdistortion circuit chip operates to o¨er the 50 GHz bandwidth. To the best of our knowledge, the described pre r postdistortion circuit impro¨es the dynamic range of the fiber optic link in the widest bandwidth e¨er reported.
