## Abstract ## Background Ligation and bypass is standard treatment for popliteal aneurysm. This technique does not abolish collateral circulation to the aneurysm, which may continue to expand and/or rupture. This study assessed whether complete thrombosis of the aneurysm sac occurs after operatio
