β¦ Synopsis
Future time is generally not considered to use the most challenging of English verb forms, thus, it is often short-changed in grammar curricula. The result is that intermediate-or advanced-level ESL/EFL students often have an acceptable theoretical understanding of future time, but little experience using its attendant auxiliaries to express real ideas in a natural and accurate way. This activity, which requires little advance preparation, gives students an opportunity to practice various ways of talking about the future in an engaging, challenging, and focused context. It is adaptable for intermediate-or advanced-level students, and requires approximately 30-60 min of class time.
